Unlicensed/Free users - Pro vs. Plan

Based on everything that I have read online via forums and smartsheet's informational material, unlicensed/free users in pro vs. business plans have different abilities.

If a sheet created under a pro plan has free users, they CANNOT edit sheets that they are shared to (add rows, check boxes, etc.).

If a sheet created under a business plan has free users they CAN edit sheets that they are shared to (add rows, check boxes, etc.).

Is this correct?

You are correct: sharing to unlicensed users provides different capabilities depending on if you're on a Pro plan or a Business plan.

I haven't heard of these differences before. It should be based on the sharing permissions. The only catch is that pro limits the number of users that can be shared to edit. After a certain number (I think 10 maybe?) they will be set as view only.

Hmm okay. So I have a sheet (created with the pro plan) with only me and an an UNLICENSED user shared to (unlicensed given editor permissions). That user isn't able to change data within rows, but the "Unlicensed User" section says they should be able to edit if they are given the permissions.

The second paragraph in that section only discussed business and enterprise-level unlicensed users, so that is one of the things that lead to my original post's conclusion.

@Genevieve P. Thanks for the link! I didn't realize that had also changed when going to Pro from individual.
