Averaging Health Status for Parent Rows based on Average of Children Rows in RYG.

Hi everyone,

I am looking to find the best formula to give me the average health status in RYG for the parent rows (#2). I have tried IF formulas but keep getting parsed errors. Please help.

Also looking to get the formula to the sub row (#1- where the picture says strategy session or AI POD etc) to the parent as well. Any insight would be largely appreciated.

Please note, the status for the RYG are based on the Status column on the right.

Here are four Community posts that asked a similar question. There are examples of formulas here that calculate based on the child row data, you should be able to copy one of these.

If none of these formulas have helped, then in order to build one for your sheet we will need to know your exact instructions for each colour.

For example, when should the Parent be Red? Is it only if all Child rows are Red? Or if there are more Red than any other possible colour? Or if there is a combination of Yellow/Red that is greater than any of the Green/Blank (this would mean even just 1 Red + Yellows)?
