Centering Gantt chart bars vertical alignment?

Is it possible to "center" the "vertical" alignment of the bars on a Gantt chart (in a Report, but also in a Sheet)?

The default seems to be that they appear at the top of their row, but I'd like them to appear in the middle so that they line up with the rest of the (vertically centered) text in the row.

I feel like I've tried everything that I can find in the formatting options for the underlying Sheet as well as the Report, but nothing seems to affect the alignment of the bars.

NOTE: I'm on the "gov" version of Smartsheet, not commercial.
