Workflow Alert Assignment
Dear Friends
I am new to Smartsheet and like to learn quickly from your experience. I have created an automated workflow alert for upcoming start date ( 1 day before the start date). I have populated the recipient's email address but I would like smartsheet to populate " Assigned to" person based on the task.
I am not able to figure this out. Will you please help ?

There's a workflow called an "Assign People" workflow you can use to do this!

If you have multiple people to assign, you'll want to create Conditional Paths so the workflow can decide who is assigned based on specific conditions: Condition Blocks: Filter What Your Automated Workflows Send
This does mean you'll need criteria to determine who should get each task. In my workflow above I have a column that identifies the "Task Type".
