Calendar functionality

Is there a way to make a recurring event for weekly or monthly easily? I know that I can copy and past into the grid and change the dates but I'd rather use a recurring function. For example, a Saturday market that occurs every Saturday until October. I'd like to add the first date (may 14th) and then set it recurring every Saturday.

The Calendar View is based on the content in your Grid. This means that if you need another task in the Calendar view, it would need another row to be created. There currently isn't a way to automatically set a recurring date from Calendar view to auto-create these rows (please submit your feedback to the Product team, here).

What I would do is set up a Parent row in the Grid View of your Sheet (ex. "Saturdays"). Then in the Child Rows, enter two Saturday dates:

and drag-fill the dates down to create as many Saturdays as you'd like:
