sorting fields

Hi there I am very new to Smartsheet and just wanting to sort my due date field into date order?

Welcome! We're glad you could join us in the Community!

You can Sort a sheet by a specific column by hovering over the column name and clicking on the Column Menu (the three dots):

You can also see the Column Menu by right-clicking on a column name. From this menu you'll see a "Sort Rows" option:

This will allow you to organize your sheet by the Date column.

Keep in mind that you cannot undo a Sort after the sheet is saved (you would need to then apply a different sort to reorganize your rows).

Would you be able to post a screen capture of what you're seeing (but please block out any sensitive data)?

The first thing I'd check is to make sure you don't have a filter applied to your sheet. You won't be able to Sort rows if you're currently looking at it with a filter on.

thanks i have done it it was the filter and conditioning formatting :)
