Trying to redirect to a second form with a field already filled out

Hello,

Is it possible when submitting a form to have it redirect to another form that contains common field and have the common field be auto populated using a query string? https://help.smartsheet.com/articles/2478871-url-query-string-form-default-values

I understand that you can use a query string to have a field be populated with a value, but am unsure if the value can be dynamic from a value entered from the initial form.

In my case I have an two forms with a field "Project Number" and once the initial form is filled out I want to redirect to the second form and auto fill the project number with what the user had filled out in the first form.

It is not possible. There is a bug in the system where it will refresh the form with the data populated for the second entry and then the field will be blank on all refreshes after that, but that is a bug and isn't supposed to happen even on that first refresh.

This might help.

• I developed a solution using two forms (or the same form by using conditional logic) that can be used to submit the main information and then the other information on a new row for each submission after the first.
