How can I remove my name from smart-sheet notifications

Good Morning Everyone

I have setup numerous sheets that work very well, however the communications sent to the users always uses my name in the headers.

EG. venn cannon has sent you an update request, or venn cannon has invited you ....

How do I get this more generic as the recipients don't report to me?

Currently notifications sent from a sheet will either associate the email with the Sheet Owner's account name, or (depending on the workflow) the user who triggered the automation.

I have the same issue. Can you advise if this is planned anytime soon as it is very annoying to keep seeing someones name on daily scheduled reports

I find this to be extremely annoying as well. As creator of the auto-notifications for the entire feedback process, which I'm not a part of at the detail level, my name is included in every time. People through-out the company think they need to include me in follow up emails and comments. There is no reason the name of the programmer should be shared when notifications and emails are automated.

There's actually been a new release since this post was created last year!

You can now assign a generic "Smartsheet Automation" to your alerts if you don't want your name to be associated with the emails. Here's the release note for this feature:

Unfortunately, the solution suggested by @Genevieve P. only changes who is listed as the message being from. The email headers still include a Reply-To field for the sheet owner. The new release does not really help the original issue of people responding to the sheet owner and not the right people in the organization. We need the ability to specify the reply-to address.
