Timeline Display dialog box: checked becomes unchecked

Hello,

I have encountered following issue.

When checking the box “Open to Today’s Date” in the Project Settings - Timeline Display dialog box , the Gantt chart applies this selection correctly.

However, upon returning to the sheet (after a few hours), the box “Open to Today’s Date” is unchecked again.

I have the same problem in several reports where I use the Gantt chart, based on the same sheet.

What do I need to do to make this function work properly?

I haven't been able to replicate what you're describing - if the "Open to Today's Date" box is checked in the Project Settings of a project sheet, and then the sheet is saved, this stays checked for my account. (Note that other accounts may have different preferences set up.) See: Customize the Gantt Chart Display and Behavior

If this happens again, please capture a screen recording and contact Smartsheet Support with additional details (such as the unique sheet name or URL, your sharing access to that sheet, the browser you're using, the Report URLs and settings, etc).
