Meet Sing Chen, our July Member Spotlight! 🎉

Clap your hands for @Sing C, our member spotlight this month! Sing, located in Glasgow, Scotland, runs the PMO Practice and Operations group in the Product & Technology division of a global organization in the Human Capital Management (HCM) space. He is a part of EAP (Early Adopter Program) because "who doesn't like playing with new toys?" and the Smartsheet Mobilizers.

Before June 2021, his team's program and project management was supported by a kaleidoscope of tools. They then adopted Smartsheet a year ago and "haven't looked back since."

"Reflecting on our Smartsheet journey, I would say there are two standout areas," Sing says. "First, it's flexibility. We have the ability to build and configure the tool to support our every-changing business processes. The second is the support for learning. Not strictly a benefit of the tool, but the availability and organization or learning resources are incredible."

Sing is an engaged Member of the Smartsheet Community, and offers this advice to new Members. "One, don't be afraid to experiment and make it a group activity. Try something out, you won't break anything," he says. "Second, don't be afraid to ask for help. There is a wealth of learning material out there and if that doesn't solve your problem, the Community has your back. I've posted questions on several occasions and don't recall waiting more than 24 hours for others to respond."

When Sing isn't helping others or hard at work, his passions include football, TV and movies, with A Few Good Men being his favorite (150 watches and counting). He also loves going to the historic theaters in Glasgow or getting in the car and driving "nowhere," only to end up in the countryside, taking in the fresh Scottish air.
