How to change task bars of parent rows in the Gantt chart?
I set conditional formatting to change the task bars for each of my categories to the color that is represented in the Grid view. However, only the child rows are showing the bar color and not the parent rows. How do I get ALL the rows to show the color(s)?
Thanks!

Hi @Bradhickswa,
without seeing your sheet or formatting rule, I can only assume, that your parent rows do not match the criteria set in the formatting rule.
Hope this get's you pointed in the right direction.

The conditional formatting rule is that when 'Heading' column (main colored row in the grid view) is "title of the heading", then apply [task bar color] to the entire row. I checked my heading column, and all the rows match with the "title" they fall under, so there's no issue there. But as you can see in the Gantt view, any rows that are considered 'parents' are not colored.

Hi @Bradhickswa
I hope you're well and safe!
Can you maybe share some screenshots of the Conditional Formatting rule? (Delete/replace any confidential/sensitive information before sharing) That would make it easier to help.
I hope that helps!
Be safe and have a fantastic weekend!

Hi @Bradhickswa,
hm, ok, I agree, seeing the formatting rules would help. I guess there might be overlapping (logically and sequence) rules.
All the best

Hello! I am having the same issue. I'll include sreenshots to demonstrate my problem.
I want the Gantt task bar to show up as the same color as the Schedule Health, but this only works in the child rows, not the parent rows. Please see below. Thank you!

Hi @Khasse
I hope you're well and safe!
Unfortunately, as you've noticed, it's not possible now for the Parent level, but it's an excellent idea!
I hope that helps!
Be safe, and have a fantastic week!

@Andrée Starå Ok, thanks! You know what's odd? The formatting will show up in reports. Check it out. This is sourced from the same Project Sheet I shared above.
