Is there a way to 'automate' the filling of a DATE column via a formula?

Hi Community,

My scenario: I am using a MIN/COLLECT formula to pull the earliest date from a list after a set criterion is met.

I now want to have the same field 'lock-in' the date when another criterion is met, column x = "Scheduled".

I am unsure if this is possible without creating a circular dependency.

I did think to create a dummy column and then have the automation copy over the original formula when the dummy column met a criteria but you can't do this with a date field in smartsheet.

Any help would be appreciated!

Resolved. Figured out you can create an automation to list a date when specific criteria have been met. You can then create an IF statement based on that date to be used in the MIN/COLLECT formula.
