Cell Linking not updating

Hi

We use cell linking to take dates from one sheet to another. This date can change during the lifespan of the job.

Unfortunatly we are having an issue with the cell linking not updating across sheets? I am not talking, instant update, but days later. One cell view says one value and then when you click on the cell and go to the source cell the updated value is correctly in the source cell.

Yes you could say that it is but it is DAYS sometimes over a week later - we are trying to access the data for our KPI's so it is very disruptive.

I am having the same problem, did you ever find a solution? My linked cells are not updating despite refreshing and saving the pages multiple times.

From memory it sorted itself out as we are good now. Seems like a lifetime ago :)

We've been noticing a degradation in performance for cell links over the past several months. We do have multiple inbound and outbound links plus cross-sheet formulas in most of these sheets (the whole reason we're using Smartsheet) but we're not hitting up against the limits. We have triggers set up to ensure our sheets recalc each morning but many times the cell links become stale even when the sheet recalcs. We're also seeing a lot of blank values once the cell link is established, even though the source cell has data. Cell linking used to be a really reliable feature and I hope that the backend/platform work Smartsheet has been working on will bring this functionality back up to its prior reliability and that what we're experiencing currently is not the end result of the overhaul.

Just got my team set up with Smartsheet and the cell linking is definitely an issue. I am seeing blank cells where I have linked data (End Dates from plans), as well as the data not refreshing for some time.

@Andrée Starå any update on this issue. Started working with cell links from a sheet that is populating it via a data shuttle. The link just disappears.

Also looking for an update on this @Andrée Starå as we are having a similar issue. The sheet is not that large or data heavy but some linked cells are showing up blank despite the source sheet being populated.

I also have sheets with live links that connect to cells with data that is not updating. It looks like this issue just died and I cannot find any actual resolutions online. Any updates from technical support at all on this?

I am also having this problem. Cell linking is useless if it doesn't update.

Having this issue as well, I have about 93,000 cell links on the sheet.
