Drop down options character limits

Is there a limit to the amount of characters for each drop down option?

it appears to be around 40 characters and its pushing the text over to the next line.

I don't know the limit, but it's more than 40 characters.

Ensure that you add the next option on the next row, which should work.

Since I was searching help on this, I believe the limit is around 100. Until I shrunk an option to just that size, it would not appear as an option in automation.
