Using the YEAR formula to convert a DD/MM/YYYY column format to show YYYY in another column
Hi All,
I am trying to create a formula to take the date column (DD/MM/YYYY) called "travel in date" and convert it over to YYYY in another column called "Year".
However, the following formula =YEAR([Travel In Date]16), it is converting over but showing the value incorrectly as 2022 when the date in the referenced cell is in 2023.
Any ideas on how to fix this or potential reasons this could be happening?
Thanks!

Are you able to provide some screenshots?

Hi @David Slaughter,
=Year([Travel In Date]16) row reference points to row 16. Do you mean to reference the same row that the Year value is being populated into? If so, change your Year column formula to =Year([Travel In Date]@row)
Hope this helps!
BRgds,

I agree with both comments above! It would be helpful if we could see a screen capture of what you're describing, but please block out sensitive data. This will help us see what cell you're looking into (the current row or row 16) as well as any other formatting that may be impacting your data.
You could also check the Date column by adjusting the Formatting from the top toolbar to make sure the year is correctly input.
Cheers,
Genevieve
