Need help with function to add Date and Number value to derive a Date

Hi Smartsheet Community!

I need help with creating a function that can use a Date value in parent row and add a number value in child row and calculate a Date. I've tried to capture the scenario in below screenshot.

Is this even a possibility? Could someone please help?

I just edited my formula to this, =PARENT([Project Start Date]@row + [Project Day]@row

Try that and ensure that the Project Day Date column is a Date Column.

Did that fix it?

Thank you @Andrée Starå for your prompt input. The results are not as expected, It is concatenating the Start Date and the Project Date value. Please see below screenshot :

How do I fix that?

Did you check the column, so it's a Date Column type?

Thank you @Leibel Shuchat and @Andrée Starå . Actually it worked! It was a miss at my end. The column properties of Project Day Date was changed but was not saved by me. But I closed the sheet and tried redoing and it worked!
