Improvements to admin consent flow in Smartsheet for Teams Tabs integration now generally available!
Hi Community,
We just launched improvements to the admin consent flow when users try to add Smartsheet items as Tabs in a Teams channel.
Previously, users needed consent from a Microsoft Office 365 admin when adding Smartsheet items as Tabs. Now, they can choose to skip the admin consent step when adding an item as a Tab. Users who skip admin consent can add tabs by either publishing it, or not sharing it with Teams channel members and managing access to it from Smartsheet directly.
Please note: Admin consent is still needed to add a Smartsheet item as a Tab by sharing it with all the members of the Teams channel via the Tabs integration.
This is available to licensed users on all plan types. Learn how to add Smartsheet items to Microsoft Teams.
