Conditional Formatting w/ criteria in a row vs a column

Hello,

I have a grid with a row at the bottom that has either 100 or 0 in each column. I would like to create a conditional formatting rule that will highlight the column based on data in that single row. Conditional formatting rules look at criteria in columns rather than rows so I am wondering if anyone has come across the as a need and a solution.

Thank you in advance.

Khari

    Hi @Khari Shiver

I hope you're well and safe!

You would need to create a so-called helper column and sheet summary field for each column, then reference the cell(s) in the sheet with 100/0 in the sheet summary and then reference the sheet summary in the corresponding helper column and use that for the conditional formatting rules.

    Make sense?

    Would that work/help?

    I hope that helps!

Be safe, and have a fantastic week!

I considered that but we have roughly 50 columns so I'm not sure it's a scalable solution. Thank you for the input.
