Notifications not reaching recipients

Hello,

I am receiving this notification, but I know for certain one user has access to other sheets, hence a profile. They are added to a contact list and shared to the dashboard which contains a dynamic view.

In this spreadsheet, the name (Jane Smith Manager) is not the same as the profile (Jane Smith), but the email is the same, would that prevent delivery?

You need to either share the sheet the automation is coming from or change your settings to allow notifications to go to people that do not have access to that specific sheet. It doesn't matter what other sheets they have access to this is specific to the sheet with the automation on it.

I can not grant those users access to the source sheet due to the nature of the data, this is the reason I created a dynamic view. And the workflows are tied to grant access to the contacts within a specific cell. Others are receiving notifications who do not have base sheet access.

To clarify, the permissions being discussed here are specific to the Workflow on your underlying sheet. You can automatically send emails out to users who aren't shared to the sheet, but then you'll need to adjust your Workflow settings:

In this case, it sounds like your account may have an approved domain sharing restriction enabled (see: Configure Security Controls for an Enterprise Plan). You may need to contact your System Admin to ensure that this user's domain has been added to the Allow List.
