How do I show parents when filtering on tasks

I am filtering specific tasks based on resource, sub-system, Function etc.

The filters are working fine, however I would like to see the associated parent tasks.

So if tasks from level 2, 3, 4, ... are shown, I want to see their parent tasks shown up to level 1 or 0.

Similar to how MS Project does.

If you're filtering on the grid itself, there's an option for parent rows:

If you're filtering a report, there is no built in option. This question is a frequent one, and another user (thanks @Erin Greunke!) compiled a list of 3 previous posts that share different approaches to doing this based on your need and preferences.
