Notify Successor when Predecessor task has been completed

Our project plan includes parent tasks that are specific, however each child task has the same task description. I would like to set up automations to notify the ASSIGNED TO when the predecessor task = COMPLETE. I would also like to include the parent task in the notification.

Here is the template we use to add new parent/child tasks. The Sheet also has a column "Parent Task" which is a check box.

@K King It is a bit time intensive to setup and requires numerous helper columns, but can be done. There isn't an out of the box solution that I know of. I know that doesn't really answer your question other than saying that yes, it is doable.

This has been asked more than once... I'm going to look at making a template and commoditizing it as a product 😎

@K King Is this what you are trying to do, but with some additional features like passing the parent task down to the children for the purposes of notifications?

@Darren Mullen - Are you able to share how you developed this formula for the Ready to Start and Gating Pred/Succ columns? I'm working on a similar case and this would save me time to develop it myself.
