limit data access based on user login

Hello,

We have a list (Excel) of over 1000 contractors with their emails and their commissions number. We want to load this list into Smartsheet and allow these contractors to login to view only their commissions number (and not able see anyone else). These contractors are external users that would not have a Smartsheet license.

Are we able to do this in Smartsheet? We are evaluating Smartsheet and if this is doable, we would purchase a few Smartsheet license for our company.

Any advise appreciated.

To add to Mike's excellent advice/answer.

Another option might be the Premium App, WorkApps, and acquiring a Collaborator Pack for the contractors.
