Forms - Hyperlink in help text of questions - How to open in a new tab?

I created a survey in forms, and I have several questions where I would like to have the user be able to click on a hyperlink within the help text section to get more information. However, any hyperlink I add does not open in a new tab. And the user loses any inputs they have already put into the form. When in edit mode, Smartsheet has the code built in to open in a new tab. How do I use that same code when the form is published/live to open in a new tab? It does not make any sense at all to have a help text link take a user to a new page and lose all your from inputs. It is pretty standard praactice to have a help text link open in a new tab. Any help/code I could add to the URL to help would be great? I've tried with multiple URLs, none work. I'm using Chrome with standard settings. Thanks in advance!
