Sorting rows ability for sheet and reports with licensed and non-licensed users
License business uses have ability to sort rows.
Is it so that free licenses holders cannot sort rows in the sheet nor reports, even when they have edit rights?
We have non-licensed folks within our organization that want sort rows, but it is grayed out.

Do you have any locked rows in the sheet that they are trying to sort?
- Although Editors can sort a sheet, they can't sort locked rows. If the Sort Rows option appears unavailable, and you're shared to the sheet with Editor permissions (see Sharing Permission Levels for details), deselect any locked rows before attempting to sort.
Did that work/help?
I hope that helps!

Happy to help!
To filter, the user has to be either an Admin or Owner of the report.
Make sense?

Hi Thanks for the immediate support! Just checked the locked columns, thanks for the tip.
However,
how about SmartSheet reports? Top filter options are grayed out and not accessible.

Hi @Andrée Starå, I noticed you were very knowledgeable on this topic. Do you know if anything has changed since the above discussion took place? I am experiencing the same problem as described here: I have given free users admin access to a report and underlying sheet, but they are not able to sort or filter the report. I have tried different access levels and unlocking columns. I have even tried not incorporating any pre set-up sorts or filters (as the report owner), to see if it would make a difference. No success. Any tips/insight you can share? Thank you so much!
