Why is the Report function not picking up data from one of the source sheets?
Hi all,
I'm currently using the Reporting function to create a Programme Risk Log for two projects (Project Sample A1 and Project Sample A2), each of which is using the same template Risk Log.
As you will see from the screenshots, both Risk Logs are selected in the Sheets tab for the Report in question, however only data for Project A1 is being picked up.
I have confirmed that there is data in Project A2 and that the sheet has been saved. I have also tried refreshing the report, but the issue remains.
The templates for both projects are identical, so can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?
Many thanks and I look forward to hearing from you!
Kind regards,
Gerhard

Did you scroll all the way down? Your filter is set to "not equal to minor" which will include those where that field is blank. Is it possible that it is pulling enough blank rows from the first sheet so that it is pushing the rows from the second sheet too low to see without scrolling?

Hi Gerhard,
What is the filter that has been applied? It is possible that filter happens to eliminate everything from Project A2.
Thanks,
Heather

Hi Heather,
Thank you for getting back to me. The only filter I've applied is to the Risk level (see screen shot), a column that is present in both templates.
I've also checked, and the risks on the Sample A2 project are not Minor, so they should be pulling through.
I thought that the issue might be that the sheets had the same name "Risk Log", but I've changed these and the issue persists.
Any thoughts?
Regards,
Gerhard

After changing the names, did you build a new report?

Hi Paul,
Thank you for getting back to me. I confess that I hadn't tried this approach, but I just did and I'm afraid it's still not working - see the screenshot.
I even deleted the previous report, just in case, but still no joy.
Any ideas or suggestions?
Kind regards,
Gerhard

Hi Paul,
I hadn't done this, and you were right, I found the "missing" data at the bottom. I applied the "Is Not Blank" filter and this solved the issued.
Many thanks!

Gerhard
