Can you change the number of decimal places in a report's "Total" field for averages?
This is a report that is populated by a few sheets and is used to average the columns.
Look below and notice how the Avg for the manager has only 2 decimal places. However, the "Total" has 6. Can we make Total have 2 decimal places like the manager line?

Hi, Michael.
You can use the ROUND() function for this.
= ROUND( your_current_formula , 2)
You'll find documentation for this function, and others, here, https://help.smartsheet.com/functions

Thanks for answering my question. Unfortunately, this is in a report, not a sheet. It seems that reports do not allow you do do...well...anything at all. I can't find how to add or edit any information, including formulas.
To be clear, the numbers are in the sheet which are then pulled into the report and averaged inside the report. I suppose I could manually do this by averaging them (with a ROUND) inside the sheet myself and then pulling those lines in. I was just hoping that I could do this more cleanly by simply pulling the data into the report. I like how it had a nice drop-down for each manager and looked pretty clean.

I have the same question. I would like to change the decimal length on reports. Has it been determined if this is possible?
-
I've had success by reducing the decimals in the reference source sheet.

I'm also looking to do the same. Haven't had any success yet. I can get it to work the way I want by reducing decimals in the reference source sheet (as Paula suggested) but then it reverts back. Not sure what I need to do to get it to stick. Any ideas?

Just checking in to see if there have been any solutions to this issue. My source grid is formatted properly (I'm using currency $ w/0 decimals) but the report in my dashboard is showing 2 #'s after the decimal point.

Adding my name here as I would love to see rounding capability in Smartsheet reports.

Same issue here. I need to be able to change the decimal length in summaries on reports without having to add functions to multiple fields across multiple sheets.
-
Same issue. Not only support for ROUND(), reports should also allow other basic formatting functions without having to jump through hoops with helper columns.
-
I agree Smartsheet needs better formatting capabilities especially in reports.
-
Same issue here, it is particularly challenging to have these unnecessarily longer numbers included on reports and dashboards
-
I agree , having the same issue
Has this been reported? (I assume so)
Thank you

I have a similar question. I have a sheet that shows forecast dollars by year. The numbers on the sheet are rounded to the nearest dollar. I would like to show the forecast values on a report, but in 1,000's. Is there a way to format numbers on a report without having to rely on the formatting on the source sheet? The only other option I can think of, is to create dummy columns, and divide the original values by 1000 to achieve the desired format (but this adds several columns to an already large master sheet.
I appreciate any thoughts/advice on this matter.
