=[Sheet Column]@row = "" not working (from Date type)

So I have a Last Updated column that is a Date type, then I created a temp column just to test this where I apply the formula [Last Updated]@row + "" to a cell in temp and i just get the same value I have in Last Updated. I've tried changing the column type for temp to both Date and Text/Number

I believe I commented on your other post, too.

The reason you're seeing the exact same value in your "Temp" column is because the "Last Updated" column is a regular Date type of column which can only house a date. If you're looking to bring in a Time value with that date, the only Date columns that have time associated are the two System Columns: Created and Modified.

Thanks @Genevieve P.! I created this discussion because I wasn't sure how long it would take for someone to see my comment on that other one since it was a little dated haha. I'm guessing that the example provided in the other discussion was based off a System Date Column and not a Date Column which caused some confusion on my part.
