Is there a way to open the a gantt chart to today in a dashboard view?

The dashboard widget is pulling from a report, which I have updated the project settings to open on today's date. But the view within the dashboard isn't opening on today's date. Any way to update this?

Make sure to change the settings on the report that you are using. This menu is accessed by the settings icon under the share button.

I have the same issue. The setting is set to today's date in the sheet, but the report pulls it up showing first date which was over a year ago. :(
