Cross Sheet References
Cross Sheet References where reference is Sheet A and being pulled from Sheet B, does the Cross sheet Reference count in Sheet A or B?
I have sheets which are grinding to a halt and would like to know which aspect is being overloaded.
Sheet is 5000 rows, 36 columns. We have Cross sheet References and formulas
From:
i see tha limits are:
Available on all plan types, sheets now support up to 20,000 rows, 400 columns, 500,000 cells, 100,000 cross-sheet cell references, and 20,000 cell links. In addition, users will see up to 2x faster load times and up to 6x faster sheet scrolling.
Im not hitting Row or Column or Cell limits.
Am i htting Cross Sheet Reference limits where each row
The Sheet References Manager on Sheet A does not show any Cross Sheet References. I assume this is because the reference is formulated on Sheet B to look at Sheet A?
My tests seem to indicate that if on Sheet A i remove the Cross Sheet Reference, the sheet starts to operate. This would indicate that Cross Sheet References
is there a non Cross Sheet Reference formula limit?

Are you getting any popups or error messages?

Hi @andihawes08 ,
You may also find information about current sheet limits in this article.
As you point, cross-sheet references are only counted in the sheet where they are created, but there are also limits regarding the number of inbound links available for each sheet (20,000), you may also obtain information about cell links within the sheet in the Sheet reference manager.
If you do not believe to be hitting any limits and yet, you receive error messages or experience what seems to be unexpected behavior in your sheets and you haven't done yet, I would recommend opening a ticket with our Support team via this form. Please make sure to include as much comprehensive information as you can (including captures and names of each involved sheet and any error received).
I hope that this can be of help.
Cheers!

Do you have any cells with a lot of text in them or any JOIN based formulas?

Apologies for the delay in response.
We dont have single cells with huge amounts of data in them. Cells are drawing Numbers, Titles, Revisions, Drop Downs, Yes, No, etc. We have
44 Columns,
5200 Rows
5 System Auto Fill in columns
8 Column Formulas,
2 Columns with formulas in the whole column which cxannot be a column formula
21 Drop Down columns
3 columns with outbound Cross Sheet References
Were unsure of:
Do outbound Cross Sheet References, which dont seem to be listed in the Cross Sheet References dialog, count towards sheet limits? If so, why do they not appear here?

Hi @andihawes08,
Based on the information that you have provided so far, it doesn't look like a limit is being hit although cell links could might at the root of the behaviour in some other way. If you haven't done yet, I'd suggest opening a ticket with our Support team via this form or accessing the new Customer Support Portal. When doing so, please make sure to share as much information as possible about the affected sheet(s) including its name when did this start, frequency of this behaviour and/or any screenshot about the behaviour experienced that may illustrate your case scenario.
Cheers!
Julio
