Anyone know why I am getting random intermittent errors in DataMesh jobs?
Error message: A JSON text must at least contain two octets!
I don't do anything and the problem is gone on the next run. This is happening with multiple unrelated DataMesh configurations.
I get an email alert "Scheduler Error for Config 'ConfigName' with the message:
Hi,
There was an issue with one of your DataMesh configurations.
Please use the URL below to view the issues with the configuration:
https://datamesh.smartsheet.com/#config/######/logs
Your data will not be updated until the config is updated.

When I go to the config logs, I see the error was a few minutes in the past and the next runs were successful without me changing anything.

@Ami Veltrie Sorry to hear that, but glad it's not just something I'm doing wrong! 😁 Misery loves company. Must be something going on behind the scenes. It just started up for me maybe a month or two ago. I will open a ticket with support.

@Jeff Reisman / @Ami Veltrie I'm getting "Error code Unknown (Ref: ): A JSON text must at least contain two octets!" when running a pivot configuration. I was able to create the pivot sheet and I then set up the config to run hourly. It ran with no errors on the first hourly run but it returns the error message on every subsequent hourly run. I've started a case with support so hopefully there is a resolution soon but if either if you have found a solution, I'd be grateful to hear it.

Thanks @Ami Veltrie. Support has taken a look at the situation and thinks the pivot updates were successful but they are still investigating why the "must at least contain two octets!" still shows. But the pivot update is not completely successful so there does seem to be a true underlying issue.

The answer I got was basically "this can happen sometimes if the source sheet is very complex or busy."
I no longer work at my previous job, so I don't know if it's still happening (or even how much of the systems I built are still operational.)

Boy how I wish that was the case! I got RIF'ed along with 47 others in February. Still looking for something new! I'm convinced that many of these job listings aren't real...

I started receiving the same JSON error in one of my pivots this morning and it has continued inconsistently over the course of the day. I haven't opened a support case yet but sounds like that should be my next course of action… Was a root cause ever uncovered or just "this can happen sometimes"?
