Can Smartsheet generate a document and then send it out for docusign?

I've recently discovered the generate document workflow and DocuSign feature in smartsheet. Is there a way to have Smartsheet create/autofill a document and then automate a process to send it out for docu-sign? So far I've only found a way to do one or the other-create a document OR manually send for DocuSign. Thanks in advance!

    Hi @kbegin

    Unfortunately Smartsheet doesn’t fully automate the process of generating a document and directly sending it out for DocuSign in one seamless workflow. You can set up a workflow to generate/autofill a document, but sending it for DocuSign still requires a manual step.

    A workaround is to set up a two-step process:

    1. Generate the Document: Use Smartsheet's document generation workflow to create and save the document.
    2. Send for DocuSign: Set a reminder or notification to manually initiate the DocuSign process after generation.

    I also hope Smartsheet will add this automation in the future!
