Workapp roles - domain permissions

I believe Bugra Oktay is the WorkApps administrator as of 2025. I'm looking for any updates on this thread.
@JPJPJP asked an extremely relevant question which also applies to my institution. Having to constantly update permissions in workspaces, sheets, and WorkApps is cumbersome. Question: if dynamic view already shows a user based on a filter in the sheet, will the WorkApp that has the Dynamic View included provide access to that user? Is it possible to use domain permissions as one of the ROLES in WorkApps?

Hi @Cathy Betzer,
I can confirm that providing domain access to a WorkApp is not possible, even via roles. I found a related product idea here: WorkApps - Domain Access - if you haven’t already, please add your vote to this idea. You’ll then receive updates when the status of the idea changes!
However, one way to achieve this is to have a group admin create a contact group with all users on the domain and then share the WorkApp to that group. Check out the following related threads for more information:
Another way, as you’ve suggested, would be to add that contact group, or all users on a domain, as a role within your WorkApp.
Thanks,
Georgie
