Celebrating the women of Smartsheet Community

Hello Community!

March is Women's History Month, and we want to shine a light on the amazing women here with us in the Community and all around us. Your contributions help make this a wonderful place for everyone, and we're grateful to have you here.

Recognizing women in the Community

Every month, we give the spotlight to outstanding Community members, and so many incredible women have been recognized. Take a moment to get to know them, learn from them, and visit the Member Spotlight topic for more!

Recognizing women all around us

Of course, there are also countless women in our lives that inspire us, and this month is a perfect chance to appreciate them and everything they do. Here at Smartsheet, we have a variety of initiatives to celebrate and empower women all throughout March.

For example, our teammate @Marcela ran an awesome project to recognize the women in our Costa Rica office. Everyone got the chance to nominate superheroes among their peers, and the nominees got a special shout-out highlighting their superpowers!

Now it's your turn

How are you celebrating women this month, at work or in your personal life? We encourage you to reflect on your own achievements, and the achievements of the women around you.

⭐️ In the comments below, celebrate the women that you admire and share what makes them so inspiring! ⭐️

How are you celebrating women this month, at work or in your personal life?

At my company, we are celebrating Women in Construction. We do this every year. We celebrate them by giving them shirts that say "Women in Construction" and telling them how they join their local Women in Construction Chapters. We also post group pictures of the various women that work at our facilities who work in the construction industry throughout the month of March. Many of the male managers and team members will post videos to say how thankful they are for the work the women do.

We are celebrating the achievements of the women that have made an impact in healthcare, focusing on those that did not receive the recognition for their achievements at the time, and recognizing those that are still continuing to blaze that trail today.

@Alison C. Thanks for the mention - made me feel recognised again! 🤗

This post made me realise how successful I have been as a Self Employed Woman out there in the consulting world. I've shined where I can and have been recognised for it, for which I am grateful. 🙏

The inspirational woman that had a major affect on me is a lady by the name of Kim Moore. Sadly she passed in 2017, but she lives forever in my heart. She offered me a role when I was leaving Uni. She didn't mind if I passed my degree or not which really took the pressure off me in my final months. She taught me about the training industry and the business world and really supported my growth. She showed me respect and encouragement which I pass onto to those I meet. Truly an inspirational role model.😇

@Alison C. - I am so grateful to you, and thanks for the recognition again!

I have been so very fortunate to be surrounded by many incredible women in my life, both personally and professionally! I have worked hard to make them proud and in turn, I am doing my best to follow in their footsteps and to do what I can to become a role model to my daughter, granddaughters, and co-workers. I am deeply grateful to all the incredible women out there! You are all an inspiration to me.

Congratulations to everyone mentioned in this post for the member spotlight!

I was lucky enough to volunteer at our company's International Women's Day event and it was so inspiring! I attribute much of my success to the incredible female leaders I've been so lucky to know and learn from.
