Can a Control Center provisioned project be replaced by a copy of another project

Hello,

I have a provisioned project that was customized by a fair number of Dynamic Views that are used on the project Dashboard. I believe that Smartsheet still does not provision Dynamic Views otherwise I would have revised template set and simply provisioned new project.

Now I would like to add a new project with identical customizations, keeping it in Control center set of projects. I am wondering if after provisioning the project, to keep everything within Control Center, I can the make a duplicate copy of all customized reports and the dashboard (really entire project template set that has been customized) that has all the necessary Dynamic Views in to the Control Center created folder and delete what control Center created. I would fix any hyperlinks manually, currently only using WorkApp.

Can I do this, or will I create other problems?

Hello @Silvano Meffe You should not replace/delete the Smartsheet Control Center (SCC) provisioned assets with duplicated copies. That approach is not supported and often breaks SCC management (Global Updates, rollups/summary links, reports, automations, and long‑term blueprint consistency).

Recommended approach: provision the project via SCC as normal, then duplicate/repoint Dynamic Views to the new project’s sheets and update the Dashboard/WorkApp links to those new Dynamic Views.
