Feature request: ability to set time for daily notifications and reminders
Hello! Our team is having great success using Smartsheet for a variety of purposes. Notifications and alerts are an essential part of what we do, from reminders about tasks to scheduling content.
One way this feature could be even better is if we could set a time to receive these notifications and alerts. For instance, it would be great if these emails arrived at 7:00 am or 8:00 am before our workday started.
Right now, we receive these emails at odd hours -- 2:00 am and 4:00 am EDT, for instance. We're a comms team and often have our phones nearby for emergency communications purposes. It's frustrating to be woken by a notification for something non-urgent.

You can schedule a specific time if you go to the send as attachement option, select schedule, submit the occurence and time.

Depending on your email client you might be able to set up rules so certain emails do not notify you. For example in Gmail you can set up filters and have notifications and reminders “skip the inbox” and get added to a filtered view. I have several of these set up for various recurring emails so I won’t get notified each time I receive them, but I can view them at anytime by opening that filter.

This should be added as a feature. The workaround to getting a reminder scheduled for a specific-ish time is to send a follow-up instead. When you do a follow up request, just send to yourself and set the time (choice is in one hour intervals). Otherwise you will get a "reminder" email between 12am and 5am as I did, which is not cool when your phone and Smartsheet account is connected to your work email.

This is a necessary feature. If other types of emails/notifications can be scheduled, why not reminders? Nobody wants a reminder in the middle of the night. I was planning on making Reminders a major part of my notification scheme across several departments, but this is a major setback that could hinder adoption...

The same here. It seems to be such a basic functionality. Dont understand why SS developers cannot see this business need for it. Reminders in the middle of the night will not catch the attention of users, and if so, it will certainly interrupt their well deserved night of sleep.

I Also would like this functionality to be added. I have start date reminders for projects, and they are VERY useful, but i get so many complaints from those who need their phone on for emergency or on-call purposes, about getting them at like 2am in the morning and waking them up.

I've been a user for years now, sold in both my old company and my new. In a fast-paced workflow, reminders that come at random times once a day are almost entirely useless. As a project manager who needs to track and review the progress of 60 deadline-oriented projects in various stages of development, I need a reminder at 9:45am...4:10pm, not "sometime on X day." This is a ridiculously fundamental element of any reminder system. Continue to be profoundly disappointed that Smartsheet hasn't taken the time to implement a more robust solution.
