How do I Subtract a series of days from date column?

I need to calculate a series of dates for a newsletter production cycle.  I want to take the Expected Release Date ie:  25 Aug 2019 and in seven column cells, beginning with ten days from the Expected Release date, then show 8, 7, 5, 4, 3, 2 days calculated dates from the Expected Release date.  I can perform this easily in Excel with a simple function of:  ="8/20/2019"-2  

How do I do this in Smartsheet?

    figured it out.  Smartsheet uses a column name rather then column assignment

     

    Smartsheet date formula       [Issue to be released date]1-4

                                                  [Column name] row minus days
