I want to filter my tasks by comments. So I want to see all tasks which contain the snippet "asdfasdf" in the comments. I am not able to make the filter work. I tried it with Comment -> contains -> asdfasdf and Comment is equal to asdfasdf. Unfortunately both does not work...
Hi,
Just to be clear, are you referring to the:
If it is option 1, then what you attempted with Comment -> contains -> asdfasdf is correct and will work.
If it is option 2, then you're out of luck because this system Comments column cannot be filtered.
Kind regards,

P.S. Dear Smartsheet,
Seriously, who in your Product Team thought that naming these columns the same thing by default was a good idea?
Alright now I see...Doesn't make much sense but now I know how it works.
Thank you so much!
My pleasure. I agree that it doesn't make much sense.
One more of the things I run into then that has the "dont make sense" stamp on it.
Is there a reason for not being able to filter on this column in reports?

It would be very useful to create a filter which would show issues in which I (the current user,) was @mentioned in the comments for the issue.
IMHO:
The "latest comment" field should always be there, like a system column. At the moment it only shows if you choose to add it. This is a missed opportunity, and would allow filtering.
Having a set of pre-set admin controlled tags to add would also be good and add another dimension of information to Smartsheet. Seems like an easy win.
Is there a way to revert to the old dashboard look and feel. The new dashboards do not look good at all. There is no way of knowing if there are additional items in the widgets until you scroll over one to learn there is more to it since the vertical bar doesn't show. We have hundreds of dashboards and they will all need…
When i try to send or print the timeline view instead of showing the progression bars like they do on the screen it only send the data entered and not a graph type view to print. Is there a way to do this. I am using a mac platform if that helps.
I have reproduced the following behavior in a validated Smartsheet application. User permission: Editor (not Admin) Row status: Locked (confirmed via row menu displaying "Unlock Row") Text, Date, Contact List, and Checkbox columns cannot be modified. Dropdown List columns remain editable. Selecting a new dropdown value and…
