Re: JOIN(DISTINCT(COLLECT + JOIN(DISTINCT(COLLECT but how to remove duplicates due to using two formulas
You can drop the formula into a hidden multi-select dropdown column to clean up the list, then reference that cell in the Sheet Summary field.

Re: Are New Folders No Longer Allowed In Sheets Directory
Hi @Genevieve P. , Thank you for finally providing the detailed response that many of us within 3-4 ongoing posted conversations have been demanding. Out of all those reasons you listed, only 2 i can see justifiable, but that shouldnt require such drastic changes to something we all felt was fine as is. Had Smartsheets, just took the time to tweak a few things here and there, rather than remove it all together, would have been a compromise to both sides.
So, I do appreciate the detailed response and clarification to your role within Smartsheets, I am just not convinced or ok (never will be) with this rediculous removal (soon) of the Sheets Folder and hope that someone in the position to overturn this nonsense is getting these responses.

Re: June Question of the Month - Join the conversation and receive a badge
The Smartsheet Community is up there with one of my favorite communities but I do have to say, i experienced community last Friday. At my work, we all work virtual, and we love to give back!
Group of us were able to volunteer our time at a community volunteer based thrift store, where all proceeds go back into our community. It was truly special to see what each volunteer does behind the scenes and really changed my perspective on how i donate, and what i donate. Community is all about coming together for a purpose, whether its big or small.
On the flip side, I love my Smartsheet Community and you guys have taught me so much, i've been lucky enough to grow my community in LinkedIn through Smartsheet as well.

Re: June Question of the Month - Join the conversation and receive a badge
The Smartsheet Community is by far the best community group I have been apart of. I can always find what I need here and the community members are more than generous with sharing information and helping me work through solutions. I try to return the favor by answering questions on the forum whenever I can.
Re: June Question of the Month - Join the conversation and receive a badge
What is the best example of a community that I have seen?
When I reflect on the many communities, I’ve been part of — whether professional networks, local groups, or online forums — one stands out brightly: the Smartsheet community.
What makes this group so special? It’s not just the shared knowledge or the tips and tricks exchanged (though those are valuable too). It’s the spirit behind the interactions. Every time I read the comments, suggestions, or ideas shared in that space, I feel something deeper:
- Empathy — People genuinely care about each other’s challenges and wins.
- Happiness — There’s a joy in helping, in lifting others up, that radiates through every thread.
- Generosity — Folks are not just answering questions; they’re offering their time, their lessons learned, and sometimes even reaching out directly to offer help.
I’ve been personally touched by this, receiving unexpected support and encouragement from members who just wanted to help.
Being part of this community makes me feel honored — like I’m standing among people who are not just experts, but also kind-hearted collaborators. It’s a reminder that the best communities aren’t just about what you know; they’re about how you share it.

Is there any other community than this Smartsheet Community? Do you even Community? This Community is the only one I've ever found myself participate in. In other communities I'm just a lurker.

Re: Failed to share operating workspace with PMO
Not a group.
Our account admin was not shared to the Parent Workspace and the blueprint lists the them as owner.
I shared it and it looks like it's all working now, so I am thinking that's what caused the error.
Thanks for your reply!
Re: Updating one sheet from another
Hi,
I hope you're well and safe!
To add to Tomasz's excellent advice/answer.
If you don't have access to the Table View, you can use a combination of INDEX/MATCH instead.
In any case, you can use the VIN to connect them.
More info.
Here's the structure for an INDEX/MATCH combination.
=INDEX({ColumnWithTheValueYouWantToShow}, MATCH(CellThatHaveTheValueToMatch@row,{ColumnWithTheValueToMatchAgainsTheCell}, 0)
To connect them row by row, you could use an Autonumber Column in the Source sheet and add a so-called helper column to manually add the row ID on as many rows as you need in the Destination sheet.
Update because I reread the post and noticed that I missed what Paul mentioned. I agree with him, use MAX COLLECT instead.
Would that work/help?
I hope that helps!
Be safe, and have a fantastic day!

Re: Community Recommendations - Let's share our favorites!
LOL @joelsmit94161 - my son’s obsessed with asking ChatGPT 'who would win' matchups. The answers are always hilarious and weirdly deep. It's like snack-sized philosophy with superheroes!
