Re: Collaborative and real-time editing
It is truly debilitating to not be able to work with someone in the same sheet at the same time with out it having to refresh and ruin someone else's data. Here at Penske's Talent and Development team, we are a very collaborative group and would love for this feature to be implemented ASAP.
Re: Increase sheet row and column limits
Hello Team,
For license users, It would be ideal to have the row limit to the match the limit size in MS Excel i.e. 1,000,000 rows.
Any additional rows after 1 Million, ideally should be then covered with Premium Apps.
This will allow users to better adopt smartsheet and it features.
Also same should apply API governance, to allow better integration and automation.

Re: Increase sheet row and column limits
I collect a huge number of data in each of my sheets (Time tracker, task by task) and every 15 days I need to move them to a back up file. Would that be possible for Smartsheet to increase the limit of rows (Similar with excel maybe?) per sheet in order to avoid this backup creation every 15 days? I would like to have the consolidated data in one place, and even though we can do that in a report, all the time when a new file is created I need to add that to the report (which might lead to mistakes). Also, not everybody is able to filter in the report (as it changes everything right?).
Re: Introduce yourself & get to know your peers!
Hi! I'm Darla Brown with Loews Hotels. I am the faithful pourer of the blue Koolaid, aka Smartsheet. Introducing SS to our teams and getting everyone fully trained through SmartU and Learning Tracks has been my #1 goal. Besides training, I help departments build better processes and metrics using SS, integrating with our other platforms. My calendar stays full with meetings and working sessions.
Outside of SS, I sing, run screens at my church, and train teams on Propresenter. I enjoy traveling as much as my schedule and budget allow. So thankful I work for a hotel with amazing perks! Miami Beach is my favorite.

Better access control on proofs
Today, anybody with access to a sheet, can view and participate on a proof.
We would prefer to restrict access to proofs using the invitation process or other method.
Please add proof-level permissions.
Thanks
Allow reviewer to download file - unchecked by default
Give sys admin ability to change default behavior in proof invite to not have "allow reviewer to download file" checked by default.
Filtering comments in proofing workflows
In large proofing workflows, it can be very time consuming when navigating thru comments. Please add a filter. Suggestions like, by date, by person, read/unread status.
How do I export a list of Group members/names?
Hello, we have a lot of Groups with many members. I need to do an audit of each Group's members to make sure people are in the right Group (we've had some turnover/people changing teams). I am looking for a way to export to Excel each Group's member list so I can easily do that audit. I don't see an obvious option for this. How can this be done? Thank you.
Re: Increase sheet row and column limits
Hi folks,
I work on the Product team here at Smartsheet on this issue, and I'd like to give some feedback about our direction for new limits on sheets.
You may have seen on the Engage keynote that we're making scale a focus of our work right now and announced some major work in this area; we know that you're feeling pain around having to split your work up into multiple sheets when you'd much prefer to work in the same place on all your data. We hear you!
What we're aiming for as of now is the following sizes on a sheet:
- 5 million cells on a sheet (up from 500k)
- Up to 1 million rows on a sheet (up from 20k)
- Up to 1,000 columns on a sheet (up from 400)
So that could be expressed as up to 1 million rows with 5 columns, or up to 5,000 rows with 1,000 columns, or anything in between up to the 5m cell limit.
Additionally, we're aiming for no further surprises in terms of what you can put in those cells; you could have 5m cells links, or 5m formulas, with no further restrictions.
These numbers and goals aren't final, or binding - we may have to change some up or down slightly as we work through it, and I can't give you a hard timeline on this, as there's a lot of work we need to do behind the scenes to get there. However, I can tell you that this is something we're actively spending a lot of effort on right now.
What are all your thoughts?
