How do I export a list of Group members/names?
Hello, we have a lot of Groups with many members. I need to do an audit of each Group's members to make sure people are in the right Group (we've had some turnover/people changing teams). I am looking for a way to export to Excel each Group's member list so I can easily do that audit. I don't see an obvious option for this. How can this be done? Thank you.

Hello,
You might consider viewing the individual's group membership from Account Admin > User Management. You can then remove/change their group membership as needed.
More information on this is available here: https://help.smartsheet.com/articles/795920-manage-users-multi-user-plan#manageactions

I'd like to see a way to export the list of users in a group as well.

@Shaine - yes, I know how to do this one by one however with hundreds of users in each Group that isn't an efficient way to do an Audit. Can you please add this as an enhancement request? Many thanks.

agreed
I would like an easy way to have the group membership shared (maybe in a smartsheet?) and audited with the PMO

We have this issue as well. We grant mass access to certain dashboards and reports using groups. But, when we get audited I am being asked who all has membership to that group. I have over 200 people in the groups. Not being able to download the members of a group is an issue.

We are also looking for a way to export the list of people in our groups. The new admin center looks great but I still don't see an export option...

I came up with a solution that will give you the email addresses.
How to export the membership of a Smartsheet Group.
- Ensure the desired group is the only user shared to an item such as a report.
- Navigate to User Management and select More Actions / Sheet Access.
- Then open the report that will be emailed to you
- Filter for something that only this group has been given access to such as a report. Then select the user names from the Shared To column.
- You’re done. :).

@Mike Reeves - great idea!
Unfortunately, my sheet access report is 362mb and over 2 million rows. I did submit an enhancement request.

We need this feature as well. I'll submit enhancement request.

Quick solution:
Highlight all members in the group
Paste as TEXT into Excel.
In my case, I only wanted the email address so I created a side formula to isolate (=SEARCH(".com", [field with the name and emails]). Anything with a value is valid.
The email more valuable than the name since I can add names to a group by pasting one or more email addresses into a group Add Members (I have found that this is not possible using standard names)

Probably not the best way, but I have access to power automate desktop, so I was able to extract my users names and email addresses from our smart sheet groups via a web scrape automation.

I'm very interested how you created the Power Automate flow to extract usernames from within Smartsheet Groups.
I have Enterprise and Team Calendars. For security reasons these are accessible via a WorkApp using groups to determine what calendar(s) a user can see. Because we are a global enterprise, I have many groups with up to 1000 users in each group and I need to verify who is in each group.
