Market Data connectivity
Please partner up with a market data application (like FactSet, Thomson Reuters, etc.) from which Smartsheet can draw real-time stock quotes. I've used FactSet's Excel plug-ins for many projects, and if Smartsheet could have that functionality too, it would be an awesome replacement!

As someone managing dozens of dynamic sheets, I've been building out custom "Sheet Stats" manually to track things like row count, column count, cell fullness, and date ranges, all to proactively manage performance and prevent hitting Smartsheet limits.
Right now, I rely on formulas in the Sheet Summary to estimate:
- % of rows or columns populated
- Cell reference volume
- Range of active dates
- Other workload indicators
This helps me determine when it's time to archive or optimize. But every time a sheet is archived or cloned, I have to rebuild large portions of these formulas, and some metrics (like number of cell references or total filled cells) aren't even directly accessible without workarounds.
It would be incredibly valuable to have built-in, reportable "health metrics" things like:
- Total number of used vs available rows/columns
- Number of cell references
- Number of links/cross-sheet references
- % of non-blank cells
- Formula density or performance load indicators
This would help power users and admins monitor sheet health at scale, catch inefficiencies before they snowball, and ensure we’re not flying blind into limit-related slowdowns.
Is something like this already on the roadmap? If not, I’d love to see support for it. Let the sheets tell us when they’re getting overwhelmed.

I would love to see this. We would use this for many of our projects to allow calendar views of vacation time for project team members.

Additionally, I'd like to reference Sheet Summary fields in automation reporting.
I have {{Location}} and {{Status}} fields populating, but I can only use a helper column to share my "Total Project Progress" and "Number of tasks waiting on (Team ___ Input)" from my Sheet Summary fields.
Re: Dynamic Filter on Dashboards
Wouldn't it be great to have one single dynamic filter for the dashboard feature!!!! This idea includes having one filter at the top of the dashboard that updates all related data. For example, in university recruitment, I want to view metrics for one university at a time. Ideally, I’d select the university from a top-level filter, and all charts below would update accordingly. Currently, I have to create a separate dashboard per university and manually filter each report/chart—so many clicks! A single dynamic filter would make this process much more efficient.

Jeez, why is the answer always "spend more money and buy premium apps"? This is a simple process no different from "move row" or "copy row" that should be part of the core application.
