Please make this important update to the Conversations Panel.

I need to be able to download comments within the Conversations panel for individual rows. Currently this is not possible. Please build in the function so you can download a transcript of a conversation.

There are various work arounds which are not sufficient. I will list them below as i would prefer not to have a reply which lists them. They are clunky ways of achieving a very simple task which should already be a built in feature.

Insufficient work arounds -

1. Use the Activity Log. You can only download individual comments and you cant choose to toggle on which row, meaning you would download all comments from all rows.
2. Print to PDF. You can print to PDF an individual comment within the Conversations panel - but not all of them at once.
3. Print to PDF via row. You can Print row data to PDF (but you guessed it) you cant toggle on which rows you want on the print, meaning you get all column data on that row.

Please simply, programme Conversations to have a downloadable transcript feature.

When editing a dashboard it can be really frustrating when widgets of different sizes shift as you add new widgets or move widgets around. I would love to be able to add a container widget or way to group widgets so that they move as a group when a new widget is placed above or below them.

The container option would be preferable as it could have some customizable formatting (title, color scheme, outline, background etc.) to clearly define and even differentiate one section from another. This is especially important if the dashboard is pulling from a number of projects and utilizing the vertical space available to go from high level visuals capturing status across projects to project specific visuals and detailed report widgets further down. When copying and pasting a container, it could copy and paste all of the widgets it contains too, saving time for the dashboard builder.

It would be good if we had more control over how Document Generation Attachments are added to a row.

We have a use case with two Document Generation workflows – one for updating a PDF during preliminary statuses (New, Revised, etc.), and the other upon reaching Approved status. They each create a PDF with the exact same filename. However, Smartsheet doesn't version up the second workflow's files onto any existing versions generated by the first workflow. Therefore, when we send an Update Request, the Attachments section displays two files with the same name!

In the sheet, one of them has 3 (preliminary) versions, and the other has 1 (approved) version.

It would be great if we could control how Attachments function within a specific sheet for files with the same name (regardless of how they are attached – manually or by automation), as either:
• Add new (no versioning)
• Version
• Replace

It would also be very useful if we could control whether (non-Admin) users can see earlier saved versions or only the latest version of an attachment.

When you work with workflows and customized messages in workflows, the automation will generate separate notifications if six or fewer rows are triggered simultaneously. If seven or more rows are triggered at once, the system removes the custom subject and message body -> this merged notification results in the user receiving a table with no message body and the subject line defaults to the internal name of the workflow. This seems like a very poor design to me. Every single time this happens the user either ignores that merged notification or e-mails someone back to ask "What is it?" "What do you need me to do?"

A simple solution would be to let the Sheet Owner/Admin decide on their notifications merge functionality. Let us decide which once we want to merge as opposed to doing it automatically and dropping essential information, which in turn makes the notification itself confusing, if not worthless.

Until fixed, we're advising users to try to avoid the trigger of this merged notification by not triggering too many at a time. Essentially, this defies the purpose of Smartsheet creating that feature, doesn't it?

I want to record the previous value in another cell before replacing it with a new value each time a workflow triggers.

Use Case: When a workflow impacts cell 'A', I want to copy the current content of cell 'A' to a static cell 'B' before updating cell 'A'. For example, if cell 'A' contains 20, once the workflow is triggered, 20 is automatically copied to cell 'B', and the new data (e.g., 50) replaces 20 in cell 'A'. This process should continue each time the workflow is activated.
