Better Document Generation Attachment Options

It would be good if we had more control over how Document Generation Attachments are added to a row.
We have a use case with two Document Generation workflows β one for updating a PDF during preliminary statuses (New, Revised, etc.), and the other upon reaching Approved status. They each create a PDF with the exact same filename. However, Smartsheet doesn't version up the second workflow's files onto any existing versions generated by the first workflow. Therefore, when we send an Update Request, the Attachments section displays two files with the same name!
In the sheet, one of them has 3 (preliminary) versions, and the other has 1 (approved) version.
It would be great if we could control how Attachments function within a specific sheet for files with the same name (regardless of how they are attached β manually or by automation), as either:
β’ Add new (no versioning)
β’ Version
β’ Replace
It would also be very useful if we could control whether (non-Admin) users can see earlier saved versions or only the latest version of an attachment.
