Change DocuSign Account

Using the generate document feature, can I change the DocuSign account on the mappings without losing the mappings to the fields?

I just need the sheet to use a different DocuSign account and I don't want to have to remap the 50-60 fields. Please tell me this is possible.

I believe that you may need to re-do the mappings if you're sending it with a different DocuSign account, yes - mappings need to be sent by the account that created them.

That said, accounts can share templates in DocuSign, and you can use multiple accounts on a sheet. If we think about it as though you're logging the sheet into a specific DocuSign account, the ability to use the same mapping may be determined by if the new DocuSign account has access to the same template. Does that make sense?

    Cheers,

    Hey @Genevieve P.

I am trying to do the same thing, I have a sheet that uses 4 templates in DocuSign to send work orders for signatures. I didn't realize when I set up the initial test that I couldn't easily change who the DocuSign comes from, and furthermore change who gets the notifications. I have set up an info@ email and given it a DocuSign account. I have also transferred ownership of these templates to the info@ account. Do you know what I need to do within Smartsheets to get these to now send from that account? I was hoping transferring the ownership in DocuSign would do this but they are all still sent from my account. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

  • Hi @Bwoods113

Have you logged into Smartsheet with that "info@" email, and then used that email to connect to Docusign from within the sheet?
