Need Help with Duration (days)

Hi guys,

I am setting up a dashboard and trying to collect data for it. I would like to show average duration for projects, if possible. For example, I have the columns below. Is it possible to create a formula that will tell me an average length from received to approved? Or do I need to add an actual “Days” column into the data base?

You could add a helper column Duration with formula = DRE Approval Date - DRE Received Date (for example with first row of data= 11/22 - 11/16 = 6)

Then make a summary section at the top of the sheet and add formula =AVERAGE of the Duration column. That would yield an average for all rows/projects

Thanks, that is helpful. Is there a way to account for work days in the Duration helper column?
