Move a row but only some columns

Hello I am trying to to split a row from a form entry and send 3 columns of that row to another sheet but not the rest of the row. Is there any way to do this without any add-ons? I cant have any vlookup or Index/match on the destination sheet so I have been trying to use a helper sheet but as soon as the first row is moved the helper sheet is blank and wont fill with the next row unless i manually enter data in a cell.

I hope you're well and safe!

You could use cross-sheet formulas combined with either a VLOOKUP or INDEX/MATCH structure to connect the sheets, and when you update the source sheet, it will reflect on the destination sheet.

Another option would be to use so-called helper sheets. In short, copy the row to a helper sheet and then use my method described previously to get the values you need to another helper sheet and then copy/move the row from that sheet to the main destination sheet.

Hi @Andrée Starå could you explain how to do the second option, as i said in the question i have been trying to use vlookups with 2 helper sheets but cant figure it out

Is there a reason you cannot have the index/match or vlookup on the destination sheet?
