Grayed out fields on a sheet

Hi. I have two fields that I am trying to modify on the top row of a sheet, so they have the heading title (Submitter & Submission Date). However, they are grayed out and I can't seem to touch them. I suspect it has something to do with the fact that one column is the submission date and the other submitter email. But I need to just change that top row to the header title, so my formulas work. The top row of my sheet is nothing but the same title as the header...It's how the PMO template was set up. Any thoughts on how I get around it? I'm an admin, so I assumed I could modify everything, even a locked column :-). I think it's causing a formula I'm doing not to work. Thanks in advance!

Admins can adjust locked columns, but no one can modify a system generated column.

You can create a helper column and use a direct cell reference

    =Submitter@row

To pull that data into a column you can edit.
