Hello Smartsheet Product Team! Is there anyway we can get a feature where folks can create one dashboard and then be able to make a copy and hide elements of the dashboard to share externally with customers without having to update and / or create copies of the underlying sheets and reports? That would save a TON of time and manual effort. Cheers!
I agree, the concept of cloning/duplicating, and then removing/changing/hiding elements that are not needed is a great idea!

You can already do this. Just right click and save as new. Smartsheet assets keep their inbound connections. So, if you copy a dashboard, it's still going to be connected whatever it was connected to before.
You can also change what metrics you're showing on the dashboard. For example, you can have one be for reporting and one can help you manage whatever it is you're managing.
If you're talking about not letting other people see it, but the ones that need to, you can refer to any sheet or report on your dashboard regardless of the workspace it is in. You can even refer to sheets or reports under your sheets section.
@C. Sullivan You still have to share the underlying reports and sheets - regardless if you make a copy or not. It would be so much easier to make a copy of the dashboard and right from the widgets, be able to hide (e.g. a column, dollar amounts, etc.) v having to go to the underlying sheets in the copy you just made.
May be I'm not fully understanding your advice though - quite possible. 🙂
