.pdf no longer open in a new browser tab

Up until today a .pdf attachment in Smartsheets would open in a new browser tab. Today, a .pdf attachment will only open as a preview. We have tried in both Chrome and Edge with the same results. How do we fix this, so that when we open a .pdf attachment it defaults to opening in a new browser tab as opposed to the default is just a preview?

I observed the same thing beginning today. You can open the pdf in a new browser screen by clicking the download button. 2 extra clicks to get there. Bigger issue is communicating the change in functionality to the entire organization accustomed to what was in place previously.

Thanks for your feedback on the new attachment window - this has now been updated to enable you to open the attachment in a separate window by choosing this option:

either from the side panel, from the preview window, or by using a keyboard shortcut (Ctrl+Click for Windows or CMD+Click for Mac).
