Your PDFs, in full-screen!
Hi Community,
We’ve launched the ability to view PDF attachments in full-screen— enabling you to do less-context switching by reviewing and referencing your PDF files directly in the Smartsheet UI. This also gives you the ability to select your desired export options straight from the PDF viewer. There will still be the ability to open in a new tab for users that prefer that workflow.
This is available in US and EU Smartsheet at all plan levels.
Try it out today! Simply open a PDF attachment to a row or a sheet and see the new view. If you still want to open the PDF file in a new tab, you still can do that using the “open in a new tab” menu option or Cmd+click or Ctrl+click on the file from the attachments panel. You can also open the file in a new tab once you are in the viewer.
For more information on how to view and download attachments, check out our help article.
You can also stay informed by Subscribe to receive product release updates for curated news of recently released product capabilities and enhancements for the platform of your choosing, delivered to your inbox. As new releases occur, you will receive a daily email with news of what's released. (Emails will only send daily, Monday-Friday, as new releases are available).

How do I get pdf attachments to open in Adobe again by just clicking on it instead of having to choose to download? For my work, I invariably must download the pdf, I never ever want to view it in a browser. Thank you!

Hi @Karyn F
You can use keyboard shortcuts to open the file in a new tab if that helps: Ctrl+Click (Windows) or CMD+Click (Mac).
Cheers,
Genevieve
